The Education Foundation of Downers Grove District 58 annually hosts the Distinguished Service Awards program to recognize the remarkable contributions of District 58 employees.

Like a good deal that also helps your community? In the market for toys, sporting equipment or baby goods? Come to the 15th Annual Kingsley School PTA Toy, Sport and Baby Equipment Resale on Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kingsley School, 6509 Powell St. The resale will offer a variety of gently-used toys, electronics, craft supplies, backpacks, sporting goods and baby equipment for low prices. A percentage of the proceeds will support the Kingsley PTA.
Follett has named O’Neill Middle School a semi-finalist in the Follett Challenge. O’Neill won $30,000 and the opportunity to compete for the grand prize: an additional $30,000! The award will fund academic goods and services, such as books and e-books, which will benefit all of Downers Grove Grade School District 58.
Downers Grove Grade School District 58 invites parents to attend a Kindergarten Readiness Night on Monday, Feb. 23 from 6-7 p.m. at Indian Trail School, 6235 Stonewall Ave. Parents of incoming District 58 kindergartners will also have the opportunity to visit their school, meet the principal and staff, and get their questions answered during the upcoming annual Kindergarten Roundups this March and April.
District 58 will keep its schools OPEN today, Thursday, Feb. 19. It is a very cold day, so please make sure your children are dressed for the weather. Please use extra care and supervision to ensure the safe transport of your children to school. If you do not feel like your children can safely travel to and from school, please keep them home and notify the school office. Thank you and keep warm!
